NORWALK, Conn. — Common Council member Darlene Young has officially filed to run for mayor of Norwalk. A longtime public servant, Young has worked in various city roles, including Assistant City Clerk, Youth Services Program Manager, and coordinator of the DOJ’s Weed & Seed Initiative. Young has been an advocate for charter revision, housing equity, and police oversight, previously expressing support for a Civilian Police Review Board and policies to address affordable housing and sustainability.
