I would like to share with your readers that my father, Dr. Ralph Edward Sloan, Jr., age 83, of Sanibel, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, following complications from heart failure. Many in Norwalk may remember Ralph for his years of dedicated service as Superintendent of Schools from 1983 to 1998. In his honor, the City of Norwalk will be hosting a memorial service on April 22, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at City Hall, in the student art gallery that bears his name.
