    SALT LAKE CITY — One person was seriously injured in a large barn fire in Salt Lake City on Friday morning. According to Salt Lake City Fire Department, a barn caught fire near 3200 West and 3300 North causing all roads around the area to close for water shuttle operations. Police have asked the public to avoid the area. SLCFD is on scene of a large barn fire at 3200 W. and 3300 N. PIO is on scene. All roads around the area are closed to provide water shuttle operations.

    LOCAL NEWS Jun 26, 2024, 1:23 PM PROVO — A woman who was hit by a rock at Bridal Veil Falls earlier in June has died of her injuries according to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office. The woman was identified by police as Diane Dewey. Woman injured by falling slab of rock at Bridal Veil FallsPolice said between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. on June 3, a slab of rock broke loose, rolling down the mountainside and hitting Dewey.

    LOGAN — The Logan City Police Department and Cache County Attorney’s Office announced a 59-year-old cold case had been solved with modern DNA testing and analysis. According to a release from the department, 17-year-old Tanya Weber was found dead on West Center Street in Logan on June 26, 1965. Police gathered evidence from the crime scene including Weber’s clothing, interviewed approximately 1000 people, and collected statements from 150 of those interviewed.
