    Tuition at Houston's most expensive private schools has skyrocketed over the past few years, with nearly 30 schools charging over $30,000 a year in tuition. In the greater Houston area, at least 27 schools have tuition higher than $30,000, reaching up to $55,200 at the highest. The Joy School, a Montrose-area campus for students with special needs, remains the most expensive school in the area, with a 6% tuition hike compared to last year.

    Two students were hospitalized Tuesday morning after an accident in the high school parking lot, according to Deer Park police. A 17-year-old male student was driving recklessly in the Deer Park High School's south campus parking lot around 9:30 a.m. when he "knocked (two students) to the ground" while they were walking across the parking lot with a large SUV, said Deer Park Police Lt. Chris Brown. The two students, a male and female, suffered head injuries and are expected to recover, Brown said.
