    A cold, rainy night in Cambridge didn’t stop fans from lining up to see Jan. 18 for his “Romance & Pandemonium” tour. Tom The Mail Man, a hip-hop, punk and indie artist, recently released his newest album, “Romance & Pandemonium,” and traveled to the Sonia on his tour of the same name. Fans were lined up outside early to snag spots closest to the stage and sing along to their favorite songs.

    Royel Otis, the indie duo hailing from Sydney, Australia, lit up the House of Blues on September 28 for their “Glory to Glory” US tour, returning to the US following their “Pratts and Pain” 2024 tour earlier this year. After the opener, Friko, a rock band from Chicago, warmed up the crowd, Royel Otis came onstage to the roars of the audience.

    Sonia, a venue in Cambridge that offers intimate, entertaining experiences with primarily local and smaller artists, rocked with the sounds of drums, bass and guitar July 20. Pop-punk and alternative rock bands Reservations at 8, local to Wrentham, and American Ink and Off Wing, both from Boston, performed. The night showcased the spirit and talent of local bands as well as the support from family, friends and fans that filled the venue.

    Prosit! Harvard Square transformed into a hub for food, drinks and celebration as the 44th annual Harvard Square Oktoberfest kicked off Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. With the overlap of HONK! Festival’s parade at 1 p.m., visitors and locals alike had plenty of entertainment for the day. Oktoberfest, originally a wedding celebration, is a festival held around the world celebrating Bavarian culture, food and drink. The main event in Munich, Germany, draws millions between late September and early October.
