HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Medical Examiner has officially unveiled the grim specifics surrounding the Manoa murder-suicide incident that shook the community to its core. The manner of death for victims Naoka Oda and her three children was identified as homicide. The father of the family Paris Oda, who was identified by police as the suspect, died by suicide. Medical examiners said Naoko died by multiple sharp force injuries along with her 17-year-old daughter Sakurako.

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital Thursday night following a crash involving the rider and a city and county bus, said Honolulu Emergency Medical Services. According to the Honolulu Police Department, the incident happened at around 9:15 p.m. on Fort Weaver Road in Ewa Beach. Police were told that the 31-year-old motorcyclist was traveling in the northbound lanes while the 59-year-old bus driver was traveling south.

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Police Department is asking the public to avoid parts of Kunia Road as they deal with a barricade situation. Officers announced the incident at around 9:30 a.m. As HPD deals with the barricade in the farmlands area they will provide more information when details become available. HPD is investigating.

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A Kapolei bank is undergoing repairs after being heavily damaged in a theft case Thursday morning. At the scene, parts of the roof of the bank are seen hanging to the ground and one of its ATMs is smashed into pieces. According to a worker at a construction site across the bank, an excavator was taken from there with its tracks leading to the bank where it was left at the crime scene. After police arrived, the excavator was later returned to the construction site.

HONOLULU (KHON2) — An investigation is underway in Nanakuli after first responders took a man to the hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, the incident took place on Nanakuli Avenue at around 6:40 a.m.When paramedics arrived, they found the man in critical condition. Police have also responded to the scene and opened an attempted murder investigation.
