Let’s face it, we have to deal with less-than-ideal conditions for drying clothes more often than not, so the alternative is drying clothing and bedding indoors.

In Case You Missed It, last week, U.S. Senator Tom Carper, along with Senator Chris Coons and Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (all D-Del.), announced a $5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to Delaware State University’s Wesley College of Health and Behavioral Science. This grant will support the Geriatric Workforce Education Program, which addresses gaps in Delaware’s senior care by increasing training for healthcare workers.

MILFORD – Literature can plant the seeds of knowledge. Andrew Scott, of Milford, became an author about two years ago after he resigned from Milford High School as a life skills teacher. He recently published “Could You Exercise With Me Please?” It is a children’s book that teaches children about health and fitness. The idea for this book came to him many years ago, but he never had the time to get idea on paper until recently. “I got the idea of this book about seven years ago,” said Mr. Scott.

MILFORD — Just in time for warm weather and the unofficial start of summer, the North Pole Creamery is scooping for the season. On Friday, the site officially began serving its inventory of locally made ice cream. It will be open Tuesdays through Sundays until an undetermined date in the fall. David Pickrell, North Pole’s owner, started the stand in 2020. His wife, Marcia Reed, owns Gallery 37: A Destination for Artful Living directly across the street.
