Ten years earlier, on May 30th 2015, Major Beau Biden died of cancer. Traditional Memorial Day is May 30th, and Mr. Biden took time to reflect on the life and service of his late son, expressing pride that the Delaware National Guard headquarters are named after Beau Biden. "To be honest, it's a hard day," Mr. Biden said.

Now, construction is underway for expanded residential opportunities. These units will sit on the site where Constitution Yards offered seasonal entertainment, games and dining for several years. The Yards are being relocated nearby.

Delaware-based ChristianaCare is the winning bidder to take over operations of five Crozer outpatient locations. Crozer Health's parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year. ChristianaCare has been in discussions with Pennsylvania state and county officials as well as regional healthcare partners to address how to meet Delaware County's healthcare needs. Already, neighborhood hospitals are planned in West Grove and Aston.
