There are plenty of events each year in D.C. that feature music, arts, and food. But only one annual festival takes over the entire city for two nights in a row — and that’s Art All Night. The event takes place on Sept. 27-28 across more than 20 neighborhoods and touches all eight wards with events like live mural painting, food pop-ups, concerts, art galleries, and fashion shows — it all depends on which neighborhood you end up in.

On Saturday, the once wildly popular HFStival returns to the District after a 13-year hiatus. Throughout the day, 11 bands will take the stage for a nostalgia-filled concert at Nationals Park including Death Cab for Cutie, Lit, Girl Talk, and more. WHFS 99.1 launched the festival back in 1990. The popular radio station, known for playing progressive and alt-rock hits, broadcasted for about four decades throughout D.C. and Baltimore.
