Combining a blend of athleticism, experience and talent, the Los Gatos High School boys volleyball team made program history this season. The Wildcats won a Central Coast Section Open Division match and a CIF NorCal State contest, both program firsts. Their season ended in the CIF NorCal semifinals after a three-game loss to top-seed Buchanan on May 22.

For the third time in the last four years, the Los Gatos High School softball team is reigning supreme as the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division champions. The Wildcats punctuated the regular season with a 11-1, mercy-rule victory over Mountain View on May 15, avenging their only defeat in league play this year. Los Gatos (18-11) received the No. 7 seed in the Central Coast Section Open Division playoffs and plays at No. 2 seed St. Francis at 3pm on May 24.

As the laps ticked off in the girls 3200 meter race in the star-studded Dublin Distance Fiesta on March 21, Shea Elmore knew she was on pace for a fast time. She just didn’t know how fast. The Los Gatos High School senior finished fourth in 10 minutes, 41.18 seconds, smashing her previous best by a whopping 37 seconds and breaking the school record in the process.
