Our weekend continues to keep on the quiet side. Though there are clouds around today, we will see times of sun especially in the afternoon. The sun is going to be veiled by haze and smoke from the Canadian wildfires. Air quality may be on the lower side as well. Temperatures will feel comfortable for one more day before we hit a normal high of 80 degrees tomorrow. June is going to feel more like July as we creep up into the mid 80s through midweek.

A few thundershowers from the day may linger for a few more hours tonight before we dry out for the second half of our weekend. Sunday looks to be nice again as we get more sun and finally fully dry out. Afternoon high temperatures should keep in the mid 70s and we could still see some haze or smoke from the Canadian wildfires again. A great dry stretch is also ahead for us at least until Wednesday as we warm well into the 80s. June will be kicking off on a hot note.

It's a quiet and dry Saturday morning, but we have haze around from Canadian wildfires. As we move throughout the weekend day, we'll have a mix of clouds and sun today and we'll only warm to the mid 70s keeping us cooler than normal for the end of May. Another chance for showers and a couple of thunderstorms exists in our area today. Most of the region will be dry, but a cold front may spark a few showers with the potential for strong winds and hail this afternoon.

It's been an active Friday with more strong storms around the area and one tornado that touched down in Washington county. Now, we are past the worst of the weather and will move into a much more quiet weather pattern just in time for the weekend. We could see a couple of showers in southern KY Saturday afternoon, otherwise the whole weekend is drier.

Scattered rain showers have made their appearance in Kentucky this evening and we'll still see some overnight, but much of your Monday (Memorial Day) will actually be dry! We will see variable clouds across the state (more south than north), but much of the day is looking dry. The low pressure responsible for turning our weather more active this week won't be moving closer until Monday night, so I believe many of your plans will be just fine.
