Posted High pressure takes over Tuesday, we'll see mostly sunny skies in the Bluegrass with some lingering cloud cover over southeastern counties. Wednesday will end up much the same, just warmer with highs punching into the upper 70s. Above normal warmth (70s) stay with us the rest of the week but we'll see a rising chance for active weather with rounds of showers and storms developing late Thursday and peaking Friday to start the weekend.

Posted A cold front tracks through Monday pushing a round of showers and a few t-showers our way, mainly from the morning into the afternoon in the Bluegrass but a few may linger Monday evening southeast. Highs will top out in the low to mid 70s and won't cool down behind the front. We'll stay in the 70s the rest of the work week with mostly to partly sunny skies Tuesday and Wednesday with more unsettled weather firing up Thursday and continuing into the weekend.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Pike County Circuit Court Judge Howard Keith Hall was indicted by a grand jury after he allegedly submitted false payroll certifications from October 2010 through May 15, 2020 when he was the elected county attorney. A document filed in the Eastern District of Kentucky alleges that Hall was submitting the false payroll every pay period, which claimed the assistant county attorney of Pike County was a part-time employee who worked at least 100 hours per month.

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Anderson County Fire Protection District recently gifted a critically ill 5-year-old boy a customized small fire truck, the department reported. Officials detailed on social media that Remi Newton was diagnosed with a "critical illness and faces significant medical challenges." Members of the department came together and gifted Remi a customized fire truck of his own.
