Granahan are challenging the added charge of third-degree murder prosecutors were permitted file against D'Onofrio, 57, in February, more than two years after she was charged by the Pennsylvania State Police at Wilkes-Barre with neglecting to care for her physically disabled son, Shain D'Onofrio.

May 9—HAZLETON — Homicide suspect Terence Leroy Ray was denied bail on a fugitive from justice warrant in Westchester County, N.Y., where he was captured early Thursday morning by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit. Ray, 55, made a brief appearance before a judge in Westchester County Court and was booked without bail at the Westchester County Correctional Facility just after 7 p.m. Thursday.
