Pending and closed listings inch up in Houston May 09, 2025 Both pending and closed listings increased year over year in Houston during the week ended May 5, the Houston Association of REALTORS® said in its Weekly Activity Snapshot. Closed home sales increased 1.7% year over year, with 2,363 homes sold during the week. Pending sales, meanwhile, increased by 1.2% as 2,535 listings went under contract. New listings skyrocketed, with 4,753 homes added to the market.

Closed home sales rose 4.2% year over year in Maricopa County last month, according to data from Phoenix REALTORS’® latest Local Market Update. “With all the questions about the economy, it’s reassuring to see closings rise again,” Phoenix REALTORS® President Christy Walker said in a press release. “New listings are also up again, which gives us a diverse range of prices for homebuyers.”Realtors added 6,514 new listings to the MLS during the month, an 8.3% year-over-year increase.
