This is done as a part of the Rockford Promise organization.     ROCKFORD, Ill. (WREX) — Dozens of Rockford restaurants are reaping the benefits of a grant program. This after the third round of the Restaurant Relief Grant recipients were announced. Local business, 27 Aluna, said this gives them a boost as the impacts of the pandemic linger. "We're still coming out of it. People that think Covid is done, and a lot of restaurants are closing left and right because they can't catch up to all the bills that weren't paid from Covid," owner Patrick Alberto said.

    ROCKFORD, Ill. (WREX) — A sensory-friendly Easter Egg Hunt was held for children with disabilities and special needs Sunday. With over 150,000 eggs, music, and family activities, the Easter Egg Hunt made sure every child had the chance to get in on the fun. "Bringing you child to a regular egg hunt, they get trampled, they only can get a couple eggs, and it's too much for them. So, we make a special area just for them and a special time," Jamey Funk, one of the event's organizers said.
