Cherry Valley, Ill. — Two people are recovering at a hospital after they were stabbed overnight. Police say it happened near the 1800 Block of Millbrook Lane just after 3 a.m.Upon arrival, officers found two people with non-life threatening stab wounds. One person drove themselves to the hospital, while the other was taken by ambulance. Right now, the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office is assisting with the investigation.

BELOIT, Wis. — The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is looking into an officer-involved shooting that left one person dead Thursday afternoon. At 3:26 p.m., Beloit officers responded to a home near the 2000 block of Frederick St. and found a woman who was stabbed. According to a release, officers encountered a person in possession of a edged weapon who was making violent threats.

According to a post from RPD, it happened on Harrison Ave. The road was closed near 8th and 9th St. An adult male pedestrian was struck on Harrison and the road is closed in both directions near 8th Street/9th Street. UPDATE 6:33 AM -- Fire is now under control. Arson investigators will be on scene for the next few hours. N. Central Ave. between Auburn St. and Kilburn Ave. is now open. Rockford Fire crews are still on scene. One firefighter remains in the hospital. At 3:35am RFD responded to the 2100 block of N. Central Avenue for a fire in a multi-unit storage facility. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

UPDATE 5:55 AM -- Rockford fire officials have confirmed one firefighter was sent to the hospital and is stable. The fire is no longer identified at an auto shop, rather a storage building. The name has not been confirmed at this time. Crews responded with five engines, three ladders and two ambulances. Rockford fire officials tell us no one was inside the building when they arrived. No other buildings were damaged. Officials say the fire is still active and stubborn. Police are still blocking off N.
