An employee at Tampa General Hospital is facing dozens of charges related to the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material, deputies said. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, David Scott Farber, 42, was arrested Tuesday on 79 charges. The sheriff’s office’s Internet Predator Unit launched the investigation after “uncovering suspicious activity on a social media platform,” the agency said in a news release.

An 18-year-old is facing first-degree murder and other charges months after a shooting left another teen dead in Sun City Center, Hillsborough deputies say. Deputies were called to the 7200 block of Camp Island Avenue in the Cypress Mill community shortly before 11 p.m. Nov. 10 following reports of gunfire, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said. When deputies arrived, they found Brandon Clark, 18, dead from a gunshot wound.

An Ocala man is facing a first-degree murder charge after a deadly shooting in New Tampa last summer. Terrance Barnett Robinson Jr., 34 was originally facing a charge of acting as an accessory to the murder of 24-year-old Kyle John Prisco, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Prisco was found shot on Regents Park Drive, off the 19000 block of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, shortly before 3 p.m. June 17.

Residents of a Sand Key condominium tower were evacuated Tuesday evening after “potential structural issues” were found, officials say. Clearwater Fire Division Chief Jevon Graham told WFLA that construction work was being done Tuesday afternoon on the first-floor parking garage at the South Beach III Condos, 1460 Gulf Blvd., when engineers noticed a crack in a support column. The building was deemed unsafe, and residents were evacuated as a precaution.
