    By next spring, the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama hopes to be serving those in need out of a new facility.The food bank broke ground on the facility Thursday morning. It will be on Turin Drive in Bessemer."This new facility means that we'll be able to feed more of our neighbors who experience food insecurity, and that's our mission, that's why we are here," said Nicole Williams, Chief Executive Officer of the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama.

    A fallen tree left a man dead in Jefferson County on Saturday.According to the sheriff's office, deputies were called to Neely Road for a report of a tree falling on the man.
