The Anambra State Government has issued a directive requiring hotel owners and landlords to verify the identities of guests and tenants as part of efforts to enhance security and check insecurity in the State. The decision follows the recent discovery of over 30 graves and a shrine at a hotel in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of the State, raising concerns about criminal activities in hospitality and residential spaces.

The Anambra State government is set to launch “Operation Farm To Feed Campaign” in all the 21 local government areas of the state to step down the initiative to the grassroots. Governor Chukwuma Soludo had in August 2024, championed and launched the programme to encourage food production even at a subsistence level to fight hunger.
