Published 5:07 pm Thursday, April 17, 2025 An Austin man has been charged with threats of violence and terroristic threats after allegedly threatening an employee of the Austin Post Office. Wade Joseph Novak, 60, was charged with the two counts, both of them felonies, Thursday in Mower County District. He is currently in custody at the Mower County Jail.

Published 5:39 pm Tuesday, April 15, 2025 An Austin man has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon as well as threats of violence, among other charges, for allegedly threatening a neighbor with a handgun. Joseph William Hegge, 63, of Austin was charged Monday in Mower County District Court with second degree assault with a dangerous weapon and threats of violence-reckless disregard for risk. Both of them are felonies.
