I dragged my heels when it came to looking for a new house. I was skeptical that, despite the huge expense, our lives would remain largely unchanged. Rather than spending too much time on screens in a familiar room, we’d do so in a foreign one. I can be a real ray of sunshine sometimes.

Elevance Health (NYSE: ELV) announced its deal to buy CareBridge in its Oct. 17 earnings call. Elevance is a health insurance provider better known by its previous name, Anthem Inc. Terms of the deal, which was first reported by Forbes, were not disclosed.

After falling by 6% in August, see how Greater Nashville home sales fared in September and the third quarter. After falling by 6% year-over-year in August, Greater Nashville posted 2,810 home closings last month, a 0.1% increase over September 2023, according to new data from the Greater Nashville Realtors. Overall sales for the third quarter were similarly flat. The region saw 9,167 closings for the quarter, a 0.5% increase from a year ago.
