Rather than spending too much time on screens in a familiar room, we’d do so in a foreign one. I can be a real ray of sunshine sometimes.

Elevance Health (NYSE: ELV) announced its deal to buy CareBridge in its Oct. 17 earnings call. Elevance is a health insurance provider better known by its previous name, Anthem Inc. Terms of the deal, which was first reported by Forbes, were not disclosed.

After falling by 6% in August, see how Greater Nashville home sales fared in September and the third quarter. After falling by 6% year-over-year in August, Greater Nashville posted 2,810 home closings last month, a 0.1% increase over September 2023, according to new data from the Greater Nashville Realtors. Overall sales for the third quarter were similarly flat. The region saw 9,167 closings for the quarter, a 0.5% increase from a year ago.

CNN reports that Jack and Meg White sued Trump and his campaign in a New York federal court on Monday, over his use of a campaign video that used the band’s 2003 hit “Seven Nation Army.” The suit alleges six counts of copyright infringement.

“To me, Nashville is a big-small town and I love the relationships I have developed and built through the decades serving great people,” Rayburn told the Business Journal in 2022. Nashville restaurateur Randy Rayburn, the owner of Midtown Café and others, has died. Rick Sanjek, his business partner, confirmed his death to The Tennessean Thursday. He was 74.
