Austin (KXAN) - The City of Austin is about to spend $80,000 to remove bike lanes installed six months ago because of the volume of complaints from Southwest Austin neighbors. But not every neighbor is against the new bike lanes. "Since their installation, we started riding every single day to school," said Circle C Resident Greg Klipp. Greg Klipp has two students at Mills Elementary who will eventually go to Gorzycki Middle School.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Texas Department of Transportation has closed the southbound Interstate 35 exit for Oltorf Street and Woodland Avenue (Exit 232) until late 2025 and possibly through early 2026. This closure is part of the construction of I-35 Capital Express Central Lady Bird Lake Segment. Drivers are recommended to take the Riverside Drive exit as an alternative route until the Oltorf Street exit reopens. Plan accordingly for heavier traffic on the southbound service road in that area.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority has wrapped up the 183A Toll Extension that now connects Leander to Liberty Hill. The new portion of the 183A Phase 3 expansion is a five-mile stretch of 183A that will cost you $2.38 to take. So that means you now have the option to bypass the traffic lights at Hero Way, San Gabriel Parkway, Bryson Ridge Trail. Whitewing Drive and SH 29.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - As the Texas Department of Transportation makes progress on the overhaul of Interstate 35 through Austin, new overnight lane closures are set to begin Monday, March 24. Starting overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., construction crews will close one northbound lane of I-35 from Oltorf Street to Holly Street.
