National Bike to School Day is on Wednesday, May 7, and more than 20 schools in Austin are encouraging students to bike to school. This closure is part of the construction of I-35 Capital Express Central Lady Bird Lake Segment. Drivers are recommended to take the Riverside Drive exit as an alternative route until the Oltorf Street exit reopens. Plan accordingly for heavier traffic on the southbound service road in that area.
