WAHPETON, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A former NDSCS football player has been charged with gross sexual imposition for allegedly initiating sexual activity with an unconscious female victim. An arrest warrant was issued for Raymond Ruschel on Thursday, May 29. According to a report from Wahpeton Daily News, Ruschel denies the allegations. Ruschel made headlines in 2022 when he began to play college football for NDSCS at the age of 49. NDSCS responded on Tuesday, June 3, to Ruschel’s recent charges.

Mary Peterson was sentenced to 90 days in prison, with credit for 41 days served, followed by 3 years of probation. Additionally, she’s been ordered to pay $828,357.15 in restitution.
