Since the teaser trailer for this summer’s Superman debuted, many have wondered where “home” is. The scene, as played out in the initial tease, saw an injured Superman (David Corenswet) calling for Krypto to take him home. And as any Superman fan knows, Clark has at least three homes — four if you count the planet Krypton itself — his apartment in Metropolis, the Kent Farm in Smallville, and the Fortress of Solitude in one of Earth’s polar regions (the location varies by era and author).

One of the most famous Fantastic Four stories is the “Galactus Trilogy” from Fantastic Four #48-50 in 1966. This story has been adapted more than once, including in the 1990s FF cartoon, and in 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Leading into our discussion of that movie next week, this week Tim, Kumar, and Jordan, in another crossover with the Comic Book Movie Oblivion podcast, look at the original comics story.

Dan Slott is a superstar comics writer who has done work at the Big Two with superheroes from Spider-Man and Silver Surfer to his upcoming project with Superman. However, before the success, he had to make his way up in the industry. One of his first jobs was as an intern. Like any intern, he felt he was invisible in the office at times. But he didn’t necessarily see it as a bad thing.
