CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A stunning sight over Lake Erie Thursday morning as waterspout sightings were reported with a few showers over the lake. Around 8:45 AM, a waterspout was spotted offshore near Marblehead and Cedar Point. The Marblehead Police department captured this photo just east of the Bay Point Resort and Marina. What made conditions ripe for the development of these tornadic circulations?

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The National Weather Service in Cleveland confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down Saturday afternoon in Brimfield which is in Portage County. The tornado was on the ground for less than a minute and had maximum wind speed of 65 mph. The weak tornado touched down on Sunnybrook Road near an industrial building parking lot before crossing Sunnybrook Road and moving into a golf course. Damage was noted on the golf course consistent with a weak EF-0 tornado.

That’s 4.1 degrees above normal. 21 days last month featured above-average temperatures. Cleveland Hopkins reported four 80 degrees days, three of which occurred consecutively from April 27th through the 29th. It was also a warmer-than-normal month in Akron.
