WOIO is a commercial TV station operating on virtual channel 19 and VHF digital channel 10, based in Shaker Heights, Ohio. It caters to the Greater Cleveland area and much of Northeast Ohio. The station is owned by Raycom Media and works alongside MyNetworkTV affiliate WUAB as part of a duopoly. WOIO broadcasts through two digital subchannels: 19.1, which is available in both high definition and standard definition, serves as the CBS affiliate for Cleveland; and 19.2, which is only available in standard definition, acts as the Me-TV affiliate for the area. The WOIO studios are situated in Downtown Cleveland, while its transmitter is located in the suburb of Parma.

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (WOIO) - A man allegedly threw a bundle of wood at a local Marc’s employee. According to a release from Rocky River Police, police were called to the Marc’s on Center Ridge Road around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1. The release said when officers arrived, they saw a man throwing a bundle of chopped wood at an employee. The man, 41, was wearing no shoes and a white shirt. Police said the man was arrested and evaluated by medics for cuts on his elbows. He also admitted to using drugs.

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (WOIO) - A pot of soup was stolen from a man’s truck at a local Whole Foods. According to a release from Rocky River Police, a 69-year-old Lakewood man went to the police station to report the theft on Saturday, April 12. The release said the man placed a pot of soup from a friend in the cab of his truck. When he came out from shopping at the Whole Foods on Detroit Road, the pot of soup was gone. STREETSBORO, Ohio (WOIO) - A Streetsboro man is accused of hitting a family member in her 70s in the head with a pallet and pushing her down the stairs. According to a release from Streetsboro Police Department (SPD), Richard McNeal called 911 Sunday afternoon from the 1600 block of Leslie Drive. McNeal said a woman fell down the stairs and needed medical attention, according to the release. The release said when medics arrived, the woman’s condition was not consistent with just a fall.
