WOIO is a commercial TV station operating on virtual channel 19 and VHF digital channel 10, based in Shaker Heights, Ohio. It caters to the Greater Cleveland area and much of Northeast Ohio. The station is owned by Raycom Media and works alongside MyNetworkTV affiliate WUAB as part of a duopoly. WOIO broadcasts through two digital subchannels: 19.1, which is available in both high definition and standard definition, serves as the CBS affiliate for Cleveland; and 19.2, which is only available in standard definition, acts as the Me-TV affiliate for the area. The WOIO studios are situated in Downtown Cleveland, while its transmitter is located in the suburb of Parma.

    AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - No arrests made after man hospitalized in early morning shooting. According to a release from Akron Police, officers responded to the 1100 block of Grant Street for multiple shots fired around 12:27 a.m.Witness told police that over a dozen shots were fired before several cars fled the area. Police said shortly after they were notified that a 38-year-old man was shot multiple times and taken to the hospital by a witness.
