Located at 822 Hope Mills Rd in Fayetteville, the space is being designed to offer a little piece of joy to anyone who comes there. The empty parking lot of Hwy 59 Auto Repair is currently being transformed into a welcoming environment where locals can come enjoy a variety of cuisine from rotating food trucks.

Dogslingers at The Depot is now serving breakfast Wednesday through Saturday. The restaurant began their expanded hours on May 1, offering an expanded menu featuring breakfast sandwiches, tater tots and coffee. Mike and Jennifer Adams opened the brick and mortar location of their popular hot dog stand at 2801 Raeford Road in July of 2024. Now with almost a year under their belt, they are grateful for the support of the community and the opportunity to continue to grow their business.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is looking for input on a connected route that would link several centers of economic interest in and around Fayetteville and Cumberland County along a route that includes Interstate-685. The route is dubbed Corridor K, and is part of the Carolina Core brand. NCDOT’s survey, seeking input from residents, businesses and other stakeholders like Fort Bragg, will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 2, and is focused on Phase 1 of Corridor K specifically.

A new degree program aimed at curating local construction talent and filling high wage positions with Fayetteville graduates is coming in the fall of 2025. Fayetteville State University was recently approved to offer a Bachelor of Science in Construction Project Management. This new degree is being brought to the area by two leading institutions: Fayetteville State University and Fayetteville Technical Community College.
