On Monday, jurors met for hours and were questioned by the state, the defendant’s attorney and the judge. Today is jury selection for the Karly Anderson trial, who’s accused of being drunk around kids at an underage house party. She’s a BPS teacher. The state just dropped one charge for disorderly conduct. She’s now facing resisting arrest without violence + disorderly intox.
I just confirmed with the state attorney's office, Karly Anderson and her legal team, did not accept the state's plea deal. On Monday morning, her trial begins. We'll be in the courtroom following the case. Jury selection may take longer because the bodycam was widely shared. https://t.co/DJb9HfjDB7
