    Officials from 49 African Union member states, including presidents, who attended the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) have resolved to develop and facilitate resilient systems to boost food security on the continent. The resolution stems from a February 2024 session of the Assembly of the African Union that was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

    Transforming Africa’s agrifood systems forms is high on the agenda at the ongoing Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) African Union (AU) summit. Held under the theme, “sustainable and resilient agrifood systems for a healthy and prosperous Africa,” the three-day summit kicked off yesterday at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kampala, and will end tomorrow. More than 2,000 participants from at least 49 African Union (AU) member States are in attendance.
