Lotus has come up with a new naming strategy for its ‘Lifestyle’ line of EVs, the Porsche Cayenne- and Taycan-rivalling Eletre and Emeya. Replacing the three-tier system that saw the Emeya saloon and Eletre SUV split into base, S and 900bhp R specs, the new system diversifies the offering, while incorporating some traditional Lotus naming conventions that have already returned in part on the Emira range.

The Toyota Supra Final Edition will wave off the A90 fifth-generation of the beloved Japanese sports car that’s been in service since 2019, but we won’t be getting it in the UK. The model features detail changes that ought to elevate it to be the car the Supra always should have been, with extra power, revised, focused dynamics and additional aero. This is the new 402bhp Lexus RZ 550e F-Sport and no, a slightly anonymous crossover wouldn’t have been our first car of choice, or likely yours, with which to debut a Hyundai Ioniq 5 N-style ‘gearbox’, but here we are. Revealed as the first of three new EVs Lexus will launch over the next 12 months, the RZ 550e is a heavily-revised, higher-performance tech fest version of its RZ crossover EV, that also features Lexus’ long-in-development steer-by-wire tech in production form for the first time.

Before the introduction of the new Morgan Supersport, a true Morgan flagship has been conspicuous in its absence since the last of the Aero 8s burbled out of the Malvern factory gates in 2018. The Plus Six has led the range admirably but always only in the tyre tracks of the classic Plus 8, rather than anything else. The Aero never got a successor based on the alloy CX platform that represented such a leap forward for Morgan.
