McLaren has announced it will finally be entering the Hypercar class in the World Endurance Championship for the 2027 season. The announcement follows speculation that’s been rife since the class was first announced in 2018, about the possibility of McLaren’s return to the fight for victory at Le Mans. Indeed, it’s well known that McLaren were one of the marques at the table helping to design the rule set.

Aston Martin is readying an update to its DB12 super GT that first launched in 2023, which is expected to add power, aggression and focus to the model when it debuts over the next 12 months. The original launched Aston’s new era with, among other things, a heavily upgraded 671bhp version of the 4-litre twin-turbo V8 Aston Martin sources from Mercedes-AMG.

As expected after the full-fat ‘Speed’ models with which Bentley’s new hybrid era launched, the ‘standard’ Continental GT and Flying Spur models have followed, here to face off against the Aston Martin DB12 and Maserati GranTurismo.
