On August 15, 2024, portions of the Federal Communications Commission's recent amendments to its broadcast sponsorship identification requirements for leased programming provided by foreign governmental entities (FSID Rules) will go into effect. On July 3, 2024, the Federal Register published a summary of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission) Order on Reconsideration (Order) that reinstated section 73.3556 of the Commission's rules (the radio duplication rule) for commercial FM stations. The rule becomes effective on Friday, August 2, 2024. As we explained previously, the Order reimposes requirements that the Commission lifted in August 2020.
