    Atlético Madrid expect to finalize a deal for U.S. national team midfielder Johnny Cardoso this week, sources tell GIVEMESPORT. The deal will be for€30 million plus another €2 million in add-ons, sources add. Marca first reported the deal was close. GIVEMESPORT initially revealed in May that Atleti were leading the race to sign Cardoso. Cardoso is currently on international duty with the USMNT, who are into the knockout rounds of the Gold Cup.
