Atlético Madrid are leading the race to sign U.S. national team midfielder Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis, sources tell GIVEMESPORT. While nothing is yet agreed or being finalized, Cardoso is leaning towards Atlético Madrid ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and other suitors. The transfer fee is expected to be in the region of €30 million, sources say, with no club-to-club agreement yet as negotiations continue.
