WICHITA, KS— The Red Raiders won a hard-fought game against the No. 14 seed UNC Wilmington 82-72. The Red Raiders accumulated a school record of 46 three-point attempts, going 13-for-46 from beyond the arc. Kerwin Walton scored a career-high 27 points and made eight 3-pointers, his only non-3-point shots being three free throws. Elijah Hawkins and JT Toppin both contributed double-doubles. Hawkins scored 14 points and 10 assists, and Toppin scored 12 points and 11 rebounds.

"We really needed that after dropping two last week. The Hofstra one was a really tough one and we should have had that game," NJIT head coach Mike Lane explained.
