LITTLEFIELD, Texas— Edwin Gutierrez, 19, was sentenced to 30 years in prison by the 154th District Court on Thursday afternoon for the murder of Edward Jimenez Jr., 30, that occurred in 2023. On January 30, 2023, Littlefield Police were dispatched to a call regarding a man who had been found unresponsive in his home in the 200 Block of Cole Street. Officers arrived and discovered Jimenez with a gunshot wound and pronounced him deceased at the scene.

CLOVIS, N.M.— The Clovis Police Department arrested a 17-year-old juvenile and Rachel Aranda, 35, after a violent domestic dispute that occurred in March. On March 27, 2025, at around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Axtell Street about a violent domestic dispute involving a juvenile suspect and victim. The victim reported that the juvenile had a pink pistol and had it pointed at the victim and her child. When the suspect left the residence, he reportedly discharged his firearm.
