LITTLEFIELD, Texas— The Littlefield Police Department provided an update regarding the Wednesday evening shooting that left one person with non-life-threatening injuries. Shooting in Littlefield left man injured on Wednesday nightAccording to an LPD press release, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East Waylon Jennings Boulevard in response to reports of gunfire. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a 35-year-old male suffering from a single gunshot wound.

SLATON, Texas— The Texas Department of Transportation has planned to build new road surfaces on the US 84, FM 41 (Division Street) intersection in Slaton, scheduled to start Monday, May 12. According to a press release, crews plan to mill the intersection on Monday and then place a new asphalt surface on Tuesday. The work required will require the intersection to be closed during the operation and overnight on Monday, with the intersection re-opening on Tuesday afternoon.
