Volunteers say they remain positive as the search for a hiker, missing in the Kosciuszko National Park since Boxing Day, approaches its third week. Medical student Hadi Nazari was descending the Hannels Spur Trail with two friends when he decided to split off from the group to take photos near Geehi. The 23-year-old was reported missing a couple of hours later after failing to arrive at the remote campground where the group had planned to meet.

A multi-agency search has resumed for a bushwalker missing for five days in the Kosciuszko National Park. Friends of the 23-year-old altered authorities to his disappearance after he failed to meet them at a campground last Thursday. Search efforts, including NSW Police, SES, National Parks and a helicopter are continuing. A multi-agency search effort to locate a man missing in the "difficult terrain" of the Kosciuszko National Park since Boxing Day, has entered its fifth day.

Ciara Maher thought she would be nervous performing traditional Indigenous dance in front of hundreds of people, but instead felt "grounded" the moment she stepped onto the stage. Alongside a group of young women on the New South Wales far south coast, the 19-year-old spent weeks learning how to make traditional wearable art, before showcasing the pieces at the Giiyong Indigenous festival. The Yuin woman said she felt proud to have performed at the largest Indigenous festival in southern NSW.
