His children and fellow award-winning Tejano music artists Destiny and Rigo Navaira shared the news in social media posts, along with a link to a GoFundMe campaign. After what seemed to be a success by the NIOSA rain rock this week (depending on who you ask, of course) it looks like San Antonio and the surrounding areas could be in-store for some hefty water falling from the sky. The National Weather Service is reporting Monday, May 5 and Tuesday, May 6 could be filled with severe storms and heavy rain, with much more risks involved in certain parts of South Central Texas.

You may end up holding your chicken on a stick in one hand, and an umbrella in the other this week, as forecasters are predicting rain and thunderstorm chances could stick around the entire week as Fiesta hits its stride. The National Weather Service is reporting that beginning Sunday night, April 27, mild and humid conditions in South Central Texas will persist with mostly cloud skies. Temperatures will be in the mid-60s to low 70s. Sounds OK right?

It was a busy night for the San Antonio Police Department after responding to multiple reports of shootings across the city that ended in five people being injured. One of the shootings reported happened into the early morning hours of Sunday, April 27, according to preliminary report from the San Antonio Police Department. At about 2:30 a.m., San Antonio Police officers responded to a call at about 2:30 a.m. at the 5600 block of West Cesar Chavez Boulevard.
