Sceptre has acquired a "smart, funny and passionate" book on love from Ella Risbridger. Charlotte Humphery, editorial director at Sceptre, acquired In Love with Love: The Persistence and Joy of Romantic Fiction – the new book from writer and editor Ella Risbridger – in a direct approach. Humphery bought world all-language rights from Daisy Parente at Lutyens & Rubinstein. The book is an ode to a beloved genre and the publisher called it "an insightful piece of cultural criticism".

Rights Ebury Press has acquired the new biography of Queen Victoria by broadcaster and historian Fern Riddell. Publishing Director Robyn Drury acquired UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to Victoria’s Secret from Kirsty McLachlan at Morgan Green Creatives. UK production company Impossible Factual has secured the TV rights to the book. In the "pioneering" book, Riddell explores Victoria’s controversial and intimate relationship with her personal attendant John Brown and its legacy.
