    Ryan Fox has two birdies and a bogey on his front nine in the first round of the US Open and is inside the top-10. Fox was one-under through seven holes to sit in a tie for seventh on the first day at the brutal Oakmont Country Club north-east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Fox teed off at 4.41am (NZT), alongside South Korea’s Byeong Hun An and American Joe Highsmith, in his seventh US Open. He did so as a newly minted two-time PGA Tour champion, after winning the Canadian Open on Monday.
