After an exhaustive process in which nearly 200 suggestions were submitted, a pāua and mussel flavoured sausage dubbed Moana has come out on top. The seafood flavoured sausage, which featured a pork base with a hint of lemon, would now represent Taranaki as Ōakura Meat Co’s entry in The Great New Zealand Sausage Competition in August.
