The Central Bucks School District plans to elevate one of its elementary school principals to Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education, following the retirement of Nadine Garvin, who will be leaving at the end of May. In a “community message,” district superintendent Steven Yanni said Tuesday, he’ll recommend the school board approve Helen Sclama Zaleski for the position at its April 24 meeting. Zaleski is the principal at Titus Elementary in Warrington.

Brent Celek was part of the Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles in 2018. The former tight end is now the owner of Chalfont Village Shopping Center. Earlier this year, Celek bought the 12-space center that, despite its name, actually sits along Butler Avenue (Route 202) in New Britain Township. According to property records, the $4.7 million sale closed Feb. 28. Built in 1989, it has approximately 46,000 square feet of space, much of which is currently empty.
