How's this for teamwork? Former UConn women's basketball player Nika Muhl tallied one more assist for former teammate and fellow Husky Olivia Nelson-Ododa earlier this month. Nelson-Ododa, who plays for the Connecticut Sun, was set to debut her new brand, Kayelise Beauty at Paris Fashion Week, only there was a problem: she plays in China during the WNBA offseason and getting from China to France around her game schedule wouldn't work.

It's almost time to wave the green flag on the NASCAR season. The official start to the racing schedule opens up at the Daytona 500 this weekend and when it does, Berlin's Ryan Preece will be one of 40 drivers on the track. "Every sport has their biggest game at the end of the season, ours is the kickoff," said Preece, who will start his sixth non-consecutive season racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. King's "long answer" is nothing you'd expect from an 18-year-old athlete.

You know the saying, "If all your friends jumped off a cliff, would you do it too?"There's an athlete from Connecticut who took that statement literally, only then he took it a step further: turning cliff jumping into a job, a lifestyle and a spectacle that has people well beyond Connecticut talking. "Jonah literally cartwheeled before he could walk," Amy Genser, of West Hartford, said. "[He] flipped before he could run."She's talking about her now 19-year-old son, Jonah Genser.

The Head of the Charles, the world’s largest three-day regatta, will row this weekend in Boston. Among the 11,000 competitors, 99 of them will be taking part in a first-of-its-kind race and eight of them are rowers who train in Westport. Bree Healey loves mornings on the Saugatuck River. “It’s very serene out there, it’s very quiet,” said Healey. “There’s always someone in the boat who says, ‘Guys, take a moment.
