    AMBRIDGE ― A former Beaver County resident has been sentenced to over 11 years in prison for the possession of child sex abuse materials. According to the Department of Justice, 43-year-old Bradley Schrott, formerly of Ambridge, was sentenced to 132 months and one day of imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to possession of a video depicting the sexual exploitation of a prepubescent minor earlier this year. After his release, Schrott will remain under supervised release for 10 years.

    A resident of Los Angeles has pleaded guilty to a drug operation in which cocaine was mailed into Beaver County. According to the Department of Justice, the plea was entered May 29 by Jose Angel Sanchez, 33, for one count of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine. The charges are a part of a wider bust that has been prosecuted by law enforcement since 2022, with residents of three states alleged to have been involved in drug trafficking.
