Kansas seniors Hunter Dickinson, Zeke Mayo, Dajuan Harris and Shakeel Moore were not among the 75 players invited Friday to the 2025 NBA Combine, set for May 11-18 at Wintrust Arena and the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Chicago. It remains to be seen if any of the Jayhawks off the 2024-25 roster will be asked to attend the NBA G League Elite Camp set for May 9-11, also at Wintrust Arena in the Windy City. In all, 45 yet-to-be-determined draft hopefuls will be invited to the G League event.

Former Kansas Jayhawks senior guard Rylan Griffen, who played two seasons at Alabama and this past one at KU, has decided to finish his college basketball career in his home state of Texas. Griffen, a 6-foot-6, 190-pound Dallas native who entered the NCAA transfer portal on April 1, has chosen Texas A&M as his transfer destination. He revealed his college choice Friday to Joe Tipton of On3.com. Alabama, Kentucky and Miami were also in the mix.

Kansas and North Carolina have been mentioned as the latest schools involved in the recruitment of Dame Sarr, one of the top international players in men's basketball's class of 2025. Sarr, a 6-foot-7, 190-pound, 18-year-old shooting guard originally from Italy who in 2024-25 played for FC Barcelona in Spain, recently attracted the attention of college coaches: He scored 17 points and grabbed four rebounds in the international team's 124-114 loss to Team USA in the Nike Hoop Summit in Oregon.

Former St. Bonaventure guard Melvin Council Jr., who signed a financial aid agreement to play his senior season at Kansas on April 16, has filed as an early entry candidate for the 2025 NBA Draft, the league announced Tuesday. Council, a 6-foot-4 native of Rochester, New York, was the only KU player (out of 106 total entrants) to apply for admission into the draft, which will be held June 25 and 26 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer on Monday dismissed an antitrust lawsuit filed against the NCAA and multiple athletic conferences by former Kansas Jayhawks basketball standouts Mario Chalmers and Sherron Collins and 14 other former college players. The federal judge in New York ruled that claims of the players' lawsuit fell outside the four-year statute of limitations. Chalmers played at KU for three seasons (2005-06, 2006-07 and 2007-08), Collins for four (2006-07 through 2009-10).

Former Kansas assistant men's basketball coach Steve Robinson, who spent eight years in Lawrence as a member of Roy Williams' KU coaching staff, has announced his retirement at the age of 67. Robinson was a head coach at Tulsa (1995-97) and Florida State (1997-2002) - and also an assistant on Williams' coaching staff at North Carolina for 18 seasons of a 42-year NCAA Div. I coaching career. He spent the past four seasons as an assistant at Arizona under coach Tommy Lloyd.
