Electric vehicle charging stations are planned for the visitors car park at Hardwick Hall. Raw Charging Ltd have submitted an application to Bolsover District Council seeking consent to install three charging stations, a feeding pillar and underground cabling to connect to the internal electrical supply within the visitor reception building. Six of the existing parking bays would be used for electric vehicle charging.

A charity which offers after-school activities and a safe place for young people to meet friends is aiming to create a youth centre in a Derbyshire village. Mandy Mangold of SNaP Youth has applied to Bolsover District Council for change of use permission for 40 High Street, South Normanton which is currently rented out as offices.

Malcolm Haney and Josh Brothwood have their sights set on transforming the old post office at 172 High Street, Stonebroom into a community hub. The premises has been trading as a beer and wine shop since the post office closed.

Burlingtons, a family-owned business, has marked the anniversary with a salon makeover including redecoration, new mirrors and chairs. The salon’s founders, Jason and Vicky Wilson, were treated to a surprise celebration at Armisteads bar, organised by their team.
