Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is a rare, aggressive malignancy with high recurrence rates and poor prognosis. Current prognostic models are inadequate, highlighting the need for innovative diagnostic tools. Pathomics, which utilizes computer algorithms to analyze whole-slide images, offers a promising approach to enhance prognostic models for ACC. A retrospective cohort of 159 patients who underwent radical adrenalectomy between 2002 and 2019 was analyzed.

AbstractCDK4/6 inhibitors have significantly improved the survival of patients with HR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer, becoming a first-line treatment option. However, the development of resistance to these inhibitors is inevitable. To address this challenge, novel strategies are required to overcome resistance, necessitating a deeper understanding of its mechanisms.

The retrospective study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital (SYSKY-2024-278-01), and exempted the requirement for informed consent. This investigation encompassed 572 patients who underwent histopathological diagnosis of stage II-III colon cancer following radical surgery between January 2015 and December 2023 at two districts of SYSUMH (North district and South district), which has their own medical team, testing equipment and patient source.

AbstractLong noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are widely involved in cancer development and progression, but the functions of most lncRNAs have not yet been elucidated. Metastasis is the main factor restricting the therapeutic outcomes of various cancer types, including oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Therefore, exploring the key lncRNAs that regulate OSCC metastasis and elucidating their molecular mechanisms will facilitate the development of new strategies for effective OSCC therapy.

We downloaded the transcriptome data and clinical data of naïve and relapsed B-ALL from The Therapeutically Applicable Research To Generate Effective Treatments (TARGET) database (https://ocg.cancer.gov/programs/target). MRNA expression data, as well as clinical information such as age, gender, early treatment response, and fusion gene status, were collected from 134 newly diagnosed (naive) and 116 relapsed B-ALL BM samples.

This study aims to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of CA-125 and PET/CT in detecting cancer among adult patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM). We conducted a retrospective study of a single-centre cohort of adult IIM patients enrolled from 2003 to 2020. Data on CA-125 and PET/CT tests conducted within five years of IIM symptom onset were extracted from electronic medical records. The outcomes assessed included true positive, false-positive, true negative, and false-negative results.
