The present retrospective study was conducted using patient data from Aortic valve diseases RISk facTOr assessmenT andprognosis modeL construction (ARISTOTLE). The ARISTOTLE study was a real-world study of hospitalized patients with aortic valve diseases at the multicenter in South China, intending to measure aortic valve disease and analyze the risk factors affecting its prognosis and was registered in the Chinese Clinical Trials Registry (registration number: NCT06069232).

Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is a rare, aggressive malignancy with high recurrence rates and poor prognosis. Current prognostic models are inadequate, highlighting the need for innovative diagnostic tools. Pathomics, which utilizes computer algorithms to analyze whole-slide images, offers a promising approach to enhance prognostic models for ACC. A retrospective cohort of 159 patients who underwent radical adrenalectomy between 2002 and 2019 was analyzed.

This study was approved by the Institutional Ethical Review Board of the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (B2024-765-01), and written informed consent was obtained from all patients. All freshly frozen GC tissues were collected from Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. All GC patients were confirmed histologically by two independent pathologists. All patients had well-documented clinical records and follow-up information.

Human lung cancer cell A549, cervical cancer cell HeLa and SiHa, breast cancer MDA-MB-231 were commercially obtained from ATCC and maintained by our laboratory. We used DMEM for HeLa and SiHa cells, RPMI 1640 for MDA-MB-231 and A549 cells. Cells in the culture medium were supplemented with 10% FBS (Procell, China) and 100 U/mL penicillin/streptomycin (Beyotime, China) under an atmosphere of 5% CO2 at 37 °C.
