    Navi Mumbai: Two women riding a scooter died in a collision between their two-wheeler and a car in Vashi early Sunday, around 6.45 am. The car driver sped soon after the collision, the police said. The women, Kamothe resident Sanskruti Khokale (22) was declared ‘brought dead' at NMMC Hospital, Vashi while the pillion rider, Anjali Pandey (22), who had sustained grievous injury, died during treatment at the hospital.

    Navi Mumbai: The crime branch team probing the attempt to murder case registered at Sanpada police station after two bike-borne men fired five rounds at an APMC contractor on Jan 3 morning, arrested one of the accused by tracing him to Pune on Friday. The victim, Rajaram Toke (48), sustained four bullet injuries in his abdomen, shoulder, and leg. He was hospitalised, and his condition is stable.
