Thane: The Thane city police registered a criminal case against a female doctor from a Manpada-based private hospital after the death of a pregnant woman and her foetus in Feb 2022. According to police, the woman, a resident of Ghodbunder, was admitted to the hospital on Feb 9, 2022. She received treatment until late afternoon, after which doctors advised her relatives to shift her to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital run by the Thane Municipal Corporation.

Thane: Four persons have been booked for vandalising company buses, reportedly after one of them was terminated and later denied re-employment last week at a company based in Mahape, Navi Mumbai. According to police, the main accused, a 26-year-old resident of Mumbra, along with three accomplices, attacked staff buses carrying employees home. The incident occurred around 7:40 PM near Momin Petrol Pump at Shilfata, when the buses were stopped in traffic last week.

Thane: The body of a 38-year-old woman, Parvati Sharma, was found hanging from a jamun tree on the premises of a residential complex on Almeida Road in Thane where her husband works as a security guard. No note was found near the body. Naupada police said Sharma hailed from Nepal and lived in the housing society with her husband. Their children live in their hometown in Nepal. Police suspect that she died by suicide, but are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death.

Trending Thane: Panic spread in the area after the body of an unidentified person was discovered in the Parsik-Retibunder creek in Kalwa. The police said they received a call about a floating body found at the ghat. Accordingly, the body was fished out. The police said the age of the deceased seems to be around 40 years. They have sent the body to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital via ambulance for further procedures. The police are currently working to establish the identity of the deceased.
