A Decatur boy is back riding towards his goal of 1,000 miles after his bike was stolen, thanks to the efforts of two Decatur police officers. 14-year-old Aiden Tankersley has high-functioning autism, and his mother, Alishia, said this has never stopped him from pursuing his goals. But after Aiden's bike was stolen Wednesday, he thought his plan to ride 1000 miles was over. "He came home from school, went outside to ride his bike, and came inside upset because his bike was gone," Alishia said.

It was a jam-packed opening day at Toyota Field as the Rocket City Trash Pandas kicked off their 2025 season with a game against the Chattanooga Lookouts. Fans flooded into Toyota Field on Thursday night, and Emily Sweeney, who was attending her first-ever Trash Pandas game, celebrated with a group of friends. She said they were excited to see their close friend perform at the start of the game. "We're just looking forward to seeing our buddy Hank sing the national anthem," Sweeney said.
